Owen David Yam was born in Memphis, TN on June 4, 2008.  He weighed a healthy 7 pounds and 9 ounces. 

His parents are Peggy Shirley Yam and David Allen Yam originally from Knoxville, TN.  Peggy is a pharmacist in practice, and David is a neurosurgery resident.

His grandparents are Frank and Linda Yam and Joe and Lei Chen.

Owen has three uncles (Matt, Philip, and Anthony) and 1 aunt (Dreeny). 

His canine sisters are Lucky and Shadow.
