Sorry for the late update, mom was having tech difficulties w/ everything & daddy was on-call so not available for help. Owen is doing great. He smiles a lot more now and giggles several times a day. Mom wishes daddy were here to see it. Peggy promised Owen $20 for his piggybank if he would giggle for daddy. We had a nice moment to share on Sunday. Owen was crying in his pack n play downstairs while mom was in the shower and daddy stepped outside. Before we could make it to Owen, Lucky was standing at the bottom of the stairs barking (not in her usual angry at strangers way) trying to get Peggy to come downstairs. |

The last few days have been pretty mild in the morning and nights. So, that means Owen & the dogs have enjoyed their morning walks! Owen doesn't know it, but he has a personal guard dog. What a lucky baby! |

(Peggy) Yesterday Owen had his 2 week checkup. The doctor says he is doing very well! He weighed in at 7 pounds 13 ounces! He is gaining weight like a champ. He got a little mad at having to strip down to his diaper, so he got us all back by peeing on the doctor and throwing up on momma. So, all in all, Owen won big yesterday. Owen is getting sweeter and bigger by the day. His eye color is really coming through now. They are a beautiful dark gray with an inner multi-gray colored iris. His hair even has the hint of red in it that Peggy so wanted him to have! |

(Peggy) Not much new today on Owen's 2-week milestone. Last night before bed time was quite hilarious. Owen peed on mom, not once, but twice, during diaper change such that both Owen and Mom had to lose their shirts resulting in everyone stripped down to their britches. Then, after all was said and done, Owen hooked mom's lower lip with his long claw hand & wouldn't let go for anything. Best part is David laughing at us and saying "Is this what you guys do while I"m gone all day?" Philip also uploaded a video to youtube. (Peggy) It looks like keeping Owen up in the late afternoon did the trick. He let mommy sleep for four hours!! Not only that, but he wasn't as fussy and went right back to sleep after waking up to eat both times. Plus, he slept in his crib! I have to thank "Auntie" Laura P for that. It was her idea! Granma Linda is here this weekend, so Owen is making a liar out of us since we said that Owen was "fussy" at night time. In this case, being a liar is good! :) David got his first Father's Day present-- an Iron Man Action Figure which is quite cool. We are also going to watch Indiana Jones today so that will be nice too. David's going to post some pictures later this evening.
